Class Wishlist: (supplies that I always run out of, and some new things I'd love to try with the students)
-drawing paper (we typically use 12" x 18" 80lb white sulphite for major projects)
-colored pencils (I typically have the budget for Crayolas, but would someday like to provide Prismacolors)
-pencil sharpeners (the handheld kind)
-paint brushes
-watercolor pencils
-art books (how to draw, art history, etc.)
-copy paper
-dry erase markers
-paper-making supplies
-tempera paints
Student Fees: The California Constitution mandates that public education be provided to students free of charge, unless a charge is specifically authorized by law for a particular program or activity. This constitutional right of free access encompasses all educational activities, whether curricular or extracurricular, and regardless of whether credit is awarded for the educational activity. The right of free access also prohibits mandated purchases of materials, supplies, equipment or uniforms associated with the activity, as well as the payment of security deposits for access, participation, materials or equipment. A process that allows for a waiver process for an otherwise mandatory fee, charge or deposit does not render it constitutionally permissible.

Comic Art/ Cartooning Summer School Class!
Hi! Back for the fifth year, I will be teaching a class that focuses on creating comics and cartoon characters! Using the techniques that I teach in this class, I created the Shelby and the Blooms art/comic series! You will learn how to tell fascinating stories through comics, create dynamic and interesting original characters, and improve your drawing skills.
